  • 1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies Ensure it's well-drained to avoid sogginess.

  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough Pillsbury is a classic choice.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease.
  4. Stir the drained Rotel and softened cream cheese into the cooked sausage until smooth.
  5. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  6. Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture on the wide end of each triangle and roll up towards the tip.
  7. Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet, allowing space between each.
Baking
  1. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.
  2. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

You can prepare the filling a day in advance and store it in the refrigerator. Assemble the crescents just before baking for fresh flavors. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days, or freeze for up to three months.
