  • 1 package 8 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure it’s at room temperature for easy mixing; Philadelphia is preferred.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Opt for a sharp variety for robust flavor, such as Tillamook.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Fresh garlic can be used for a stronger flavor.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole kernel corn, creamed corn, melted butter, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, and garlic powder. Stir until smooth and well combined, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  4. Pour the mixture into the dish and spread it evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is golden on top and bubbling at the edges.
  2. If the top isn’t browning as desired, place it under the broiler for 1-2 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven, garnish with freshly chopped parsley or green onions if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, remember to let your cream cheese reach room temperature before mixing. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. You can prepare it a day in advance and refrigerate before baking.
