Ingredients

For the Cheesecake Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for easy blending.
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar Can substitute with a sugar alternative for a healthier version.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup crushed Oreos
For the Coating and Frying
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 12 pieces Oreo cookies
For the Garnish
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Additional crushed Oreos, for sprinkling

Method

Prepare the Cheesecake Filling
  1. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy for about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add the granulated sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined, about another minute.
  3. Gently fold in the crushed Oreos until the mixture is thick yet easily scoopable.
Create the Oreo Sandwiches
  1. Place a small dollop of the cheesecake filling on top of each Oreo cookie.
  2. Gently press another Oreo on top to create a sandwich. Repeat with the remaining Oreos.
Prepare the Coating
  1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk until smooth.
Coat the Oreo Sandwiches
  1. Dip each Oreo sandwich into the flour mixture, ensuring it is fully coated.
  2. Then, dip it into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off, and finally, back into the flour mixture for a second coating.
Fry the Oreo Sandwiches
  1. In a large pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Carefully place the coated Oreos into the hot oil, working in batches. Fry for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Transfer the fried Oreos to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serve and Enjoy
  1. Dust the warm deep-fried Oreos with powdered sugar and sprinkle additional crushed Oreos on top if desired.
  2. Serve immediately while still warm.

Notes
