Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded Any leftover rotisserie chicken works great!
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled Using thick-cut bacon provides extra crunch.
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz) A low-sodium version is recommended if watching salt.
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing Homemade is amazing, but store-bought works too.
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Sharp cheddar adds a nice punch.
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots (32 oz) Extra crispy tater tots are recommended.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure even baking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, cream of chicken soup, ranch dressing, and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter and spread the chicken and bacon mixture evenly into the dish.
  4. Arrange the frozen tater tots on top of the chicken mixture, ensuring they cover the entire surface.
  5. Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy, and the casserole is heated through.
  6. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving warm.
